Responsibilities Assist attorneys with all aspects of family law cases from inception through resolution, including drafting pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence. Manage and organize case files using document management systems such as CLIO, SecuriSync, or similar platforms. Prepare and review legal documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with procedural law requirements. Interview clients to gather detailed case information and provide updates on case progress while maintaining confidentiality. Coordinate court filings, schedule hearings, and ensure timely submission of all necessary documentation. Communicate effectively with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth case progression. Support attorneys in hearing preparation & attend hearings. Qualifications Proven experience as a paralegal supporting family law or related civil litigation areas. Strong knowledge of procedural law, legal research methods (Westlaw, LexisNexis), and case management software. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), document review tools, and electronic filing systems. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a focus on client service excellence. Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism. Familiarity with other practice areas such as estate planning, landlord-tenant law, personal injury law or workers' compensation law is a plus but not required.
