Full-time & direct hire About the job: Our client is a small firm in Arlington serving Tarrant, Dallas, Denton, Parker, Ellis, and Johnson counties. We are hiring an associate attorney with experience for a practice that is roughly 70% family law and 30% probate and estate planning. This is not a support role. You will carry your own docket, take your own depositions, and handle your own mediations and hearings. You will have direct client relationships and support from paralegals and legal assistants on both sides of the practice.

What you will do:

Handle contested family law matters from filing through final trial: divorce, SAPCR, modification, enforcement, and protective orders Take and defend depositions, argue temporary orders and final hearings, and represent clients at mediation Handle contested and uncontested probate, including muniment of title, independent administration, and determinations of heirship Draft and counsel on estate planning: wills, powers of attorney, medical directives, and revocable trusts Manage your own client communication, with support staff on intake, drafting, and filing What we are looking for: Licensed in Texas and in good standing, with three to five years in practice Family law litigation experience in Texas courts, including contested hearings you handled yourself Probate or estate planning experience is a plus Someone who closes loops without being chased and asks before guessing

Pay:

$120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
