Job Overview Jeffs & Jeffs, P.C. (a Provo law firm since 1957) is seeking an Associate Attorney. This is a full-time position with opportunity to work across a diverse range of legal areas. Most work will be in litigation with a focus on real estate, probate, business and family law. The Associate Attorney will play a vital role in providing comprehensive legal support, conducting thorough research, drafting legal documents, and assisting in case preparation. Our office prioritizes a good work/life balance and a friendly, collaborative work environment. The position will offer mentoring and support from an experienced legal team. Candidates should include a detailed resume and a writing sample (minimum 5 pages) with their application. Responsibilities Work directly with firm attorneys and with clients to develop case strategies and engage in the full legal process, including pleading, discovery, and trial. Conduct in-depth legal research to support case strategies and legal opinions. Draft and review a variety of legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, subpoenas, appellate briefs, and correspondence. Preparing for and conducting discovery, including depositions. Negotiate cases and engage in mediations. Analyze complex legal issues across multiple practice areas. Collaborate with our legal team to ensure compliance with all procedural requirements and administrative tasks within the law office. There will be little or no remote work. On-site work during regular business hours is the expectation. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the Utah State Bar. Minimum two years practice experience. Proficiency with Westlaw for effective legal research. Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear and concise legal documents. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for complex case analysis. Effective interpersonal skills and willingness to deal directly with clients and opposing counsel. Experience with immigration law is a plus. Compensation and Benefits The position offers a base salary plus monthly performance-based compensation.
