Role:

This position requires an individual with exceptional written and oral advocacy, a command of litigation & mediation strategy, and the ability to manage high-stakes litigation cases from start to finish. At Millar Legal, we are more than just a law firm—we are advocates and coaches, committed to helping clients heal and move forward through some of life's toughest transitions.

Key Responsibilities:

Communicate clearly and confidently with clients, courts, and opposing counsel. Prepare persuasive legal documents including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and trial briefs. Conduct depositions with strategic intent toward trial or resolution. Navigate mediation and actively guide clients through negotiations. Provide compelling representation at hearings and trials. Maintain and meet a modest billing goal (1700 billable hours/year) with high-quality clients.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of litigation experience. Demonstrated strength in research and writing. Strong familiarity with the Utah Rules of Civil Procedure and evidentiary rules. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Drive). Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple matters. Excellent interpersonal and client-facing communication skills. Professional demeanor and genuine desire to support client outcomes. Existing book of business is welcome but not required.
