The incumbent will review requests for

footage and will provide detailed guidance to contract personnel responsible for redacting BWC footage for external disseminion in accordance with federal law (such as, the Freedom of Informion Act). The incumbent will review BWC footage prior to external disseminion to ensure all redactions are approprie. The incumbent will respond to inquiries from ste and federal prosecutors regarding obtaining

footage and records in connection with prosecutions. The incumbent will assist with the processing of Touhy requests. In addition, the incumbent may serve as Agency counsel for civil litigions and provide litigion support in cases to Assistant U.S. Attorneys and other Department of Justice counsel who represent the USMS and its personnel in all areas of federal litigion. The incumbent must have familiarity with reviewing and providing substantive feedback on subpoenas, protective orders, court orders, and pleadings reling to federal mters. The incumbent may also assist with the development and presention of legal training, Congressional requests for informion, and review of proposed legislion impacting USMS. Requirements Help Conditions of employment Must be a U.S. Citizen or Nional. Must successfully complete a background investigion to include credit and tax checks, and drug testing. Selective Service registrion is required, if applicable. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance. This position is a Testing Designed Position and is subject to random drug testing. May be required to successfully complete a trial period Qualificions Interested parties must possess a JD degree, be an active member of the bar in good standing (any jurisdiction) and have least five years of post JD experience. Applicants must also have 1) specialized experience in FOIA mters; 2) excellent academic credentials; 3) strong oral and written communicion and advocacy skills; 4) superior legal research and analytical skills; 5) experience in dealing with complex legal and policy issues. Experience a law enforcement agency strongly preferred. Proficiency in computer-aided legal research and computer word processing is required. Occasional travel may be required for this position.
