In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support to family law attorneys by managing case files, preparing legal documents, and ensuring smooth case progression. Your proactive approach and organizational skills will help facilitate efficient client interactions and contribute to successful case outcomes. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your legal support expertise within a collaborative environment committed to excellence. Responsibilities Assist attorneys with all facets of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, visitation, and support matters Draft, review, and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, and settlement agreements Conduct legal research using tools like LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies Manage case files using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality Interview clients, witnesses, and other stakeholders to gather pertinent information for case preparation Organize and maintain court deadlines, hearings, and document submissions in compliance with procedural law requirements Support client communication by providing updates and answering inquiries professionally and promptly Assist with trial preparation including exhibit organization, witness coordination, and evidence management Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, proofreading legal documents, and managing correspondence Collaborate with team members on project management tasks related to ongoing litigation or family law matters Qualifications Proven paralegal experience supporting family law cases or related civil litigation environments Strong knowledge of procedural law, court filing procedures, and legal research methods Proficiency in legal software including PCLaw, iManage, Westlaw, LexisNexis, and Microsoft Office Suite Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and document drafting Experience handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion Familiarity with legal administrative processes such as document review, data entry, filing systems, and document management systems Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment Demonstrated research skills in various areas of law including estate planning, environmental law, UCC law (Uniform Commercial Code), tribal law & regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, securities law, landlord-tenant law, immigration law, general & commercial litigation Join our team to make a meaningful impact in the lives of clients navigating complex family legal matters!
