Our firm specializes in creditor's rights, debt collection compliance, and defending against related lawsuits, ensuring ethical and compassionate legal services. Position Summary Supports the daily operations of assigned Legal Operations team(s) by coordinating workflow, monitoring queues and deadlines, maintaining accurate case/account updates, and serving as a first point of support for team members. This position partners with the Legal Operations Manager, attorneys, and cross-functional departments to help ensure work is completed accurately, timely, and in accordance with firm, client, court, and compliance requirements. Specific team assignments may vary based on business needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Support and help oversee day-to-day workflow for assigned Legal Operations team(s), including queue management, deadlines, work distribution, and follow-up on open items.
  • Prepare, review, and process legal operations documents, correspondence, account updates, filings, requests, and other work items in accordance with firm and client procedures.
  • Monitor assigned work for accuracy, timeliness, completeness, and compliance with applicable client, court, regulatory, and internal requirements.
  • Serve as a resource for team members by answering procedural questions, providing guidance on priorities, and escalating issues when additional direction is needed.
  • Communicate updates, requests, exceptions, and risk items to the Legal Operations Manager, attorneys, managers, collectors, and other departments as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate electronic files, system notes, account statuses, documentation, and tracking records to support audit readiness and consistent execution.
  • Assist with training, coaching, and reinforcing department procedures, quality standards, productivity expectations, and communication practices.
  • Identify workflow gaps, recurring issues, bottlenecks, or process improvement opportunities and partner with management to support resolution.
  • Prepare or assist with reporting related to workloads, aging items, exceptions, productivity, quality, or other operational needs.
  • Remain accountable for following all firm policies and procedures, including compliance with applicable state and federal laws, client requirements, and company standards.
  • Maintain regular attendance and perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • 3+ years of legal operations, litigation, collections, or law firm support experience preferred.
  • Prior lead, senior team member, training, workflow coordination, or informal leadership experience preferred.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to follow detailed procedures and identify errors or inconsistencies.
  • Ability to work with minimal guidance, prioritize competing tasks, and support multiple deadlines in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate professionally with attorneys, managers, team members, clients, courts, and vendors as needed.
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills, including the ability to review account information, reports, and system data accurately.
  • Working knowledge of case management systems, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and other legal operations tools or platforms.
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
