Job Description

Position:
Technology Support Specialist (Non-union, non-administrative)
Hours:
Full-Time (12-month) - 250 days, 2000 hours Bulk of scheduled work will be performed during a regular afternoon/evening schedule, with willingness to work a flexible schedule and/or overtime as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in related technology field preferred Specialized training in the design, installation and maintenance of personal computers, telecommunication equipment, video services, and voice, data and video networks Demonstrated aptitude or competence in the repair of computers/related equipment and software support of computers/technologies Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment to support administrators, staff, and students Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional, public service-minded demeanor Ability to take direction well, work independently, and constructively apply feedback Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail Self-motivated, flexible, and proactive, with a demonstrated ability to take initiative Consistent use of excellent judgment, tact, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times Must successfully pass BCI/FBI criminal background checks and a pre-employment drug screening Strict compliance with drug-free workplace rules and Board of Education policies Demonstrated aptitude or competence for all assigned responsibilities Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and/or Board of Education may deem appropriate and acceptable
