MG-IP Law, PC (Muncy, Geissler, Olds & Lowe, PC) is currently seeking a full-time IP Assistant to support its Intellectual Property practice. This is a fully remote position that offers the opportunity to work with a collaborative, experienced team. The successful candidate will assist the Group Manager in maintaining and strengthening client relationships through effective coordination of work and timely, professional responses to client inquiries on a wide range of matters. The position requires a strong understanding of the patent prosecution process, including USPTO rules, procedures, formalities, and deadlines, or the demonstrated ability to quickly learn and communicate this information accurately and clearly. Responsibilities include supporting team operations by managing overflow assignments, providing coverage during team member absences, and handling special or unique projects as needed. Additional duties include auditing deposit account and credit card charges, preparing and filing refund requests and fee deficiency submissions, reviewing file histories to identify and resolve potential issues, and responding to client inquiries with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail. The successful candidate must ensure compliance with USPTO requirements and MG-IP policies and procedures while contributing to other projects and initiatives as needed. Requirements:
Applicants should have 2 years of general IP experience and must possess the following skills: Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks. Strong organizational and writing skills. Excellent proofreading skills and attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume environment. Sufficiently computer literate and capable in Chrome and Microsoft Office. Must be able to lift/carry at least 20 lbs. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED certificate. A college degree is a plus.
