4 Role Overview The Legal Attachment Specialist will provide operational and legal-support functions related to garnishments, child support orders, tax liens, and IRS levies . The specialist is responsible for accurately interpreting and processing legal orders while ensuring member accounts or funds are appropriately restricted in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational procedures. Core Responsibilities Process garnishments, child support orders, tax liens, and IRS levies . Review legal documentation and determine the appropriate action on member accounts/funds. Ensure all account restrictions and legal attachments are processed accurately and within regulatory requirements . Interpret and follow applicable legal regulations, policies, and compliance requirements . Research and resolve discrepancies or issues involving legal orders. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling sensitive financial/legal information. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and potentially external legal entities/agencies. Manage multiple cases/work items while meeting deadlines. Work independently with minimal to no supervision . Take initiative when identifying issues or opportunities for process improvement. Must-Have Skills The strongest candidates should demonstrate: Legal/regulatory knowledge Understanding of legal orders, compliance requirements, or regulated financial processes. Experience handling documentation where accuracy and regulatory compliance are critical. Analytical/problem-solving skills Ability to review complex documentation. Ability to determine appropriate actions based on established rules/regulations. Exceptional attention to detail Critical because errors involving garnishments, levies, or account restrictions can have significant consequences. Communication Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate professionally regarding sensitive legal/financial matters. Organization/time management Able to manage multiple cases/tasks and deadlines. Comfortable working independently.
