Job Description

The Victim Advocate plays a crucial role in support individuals who have experienced trauma or victimization. This position involves providing personal advocacy including emotional support, guidance, resources navigation, and court accompaniment to victims, particularly in cases involving domestic and sexual violence. The Victim Advocate also provides crisis intervention and advocacy to victims.
Duties:
Provide direct support to victims of crime, including emotional support and crisis intervention Assist victims in navigating the legal system, including understanding their rights and options Conduct assessments to identify the needs of victims and develop individualized support plans Facilitate access to counseling services, legal aid, and other essential resources for victims and their families Maintain accurate records of interactions with clients in compliance to agency policies Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in conflict management and crisis intervention Maintain strong skills in crisis management and conflict resolution Work Independently as well as a part of a multidisciplinary team. Answering both business phone and 24/7 Crisis Hotline. Facilitate weekly and monthly support groups. This role requires a compassionate individual dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of victims through advocacy and support.

From $40,000.00 per year
