Loss Prevention SpecialistDaytona Beach, Florida Spectrum Florida Security is seeking an observant, dependable Loss Prevention Specialist to help protect client property, deter theft and vandalism, and maintain a safe, welcoming environment for employees, customers, and visitors. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in loss prevention, security, or law enforcement. Strong observation skills, sound judgment, and attention to detail. Professional conduct, integrity, and discretion when handling sensitive information. Clear verbal and written communication skills, including accurate incident reporting. Ability to remain calm during emergencies and use effective de-escalation techniques. Ability to work independently and collaborate with client staff and management. Ability to perform foot patrols and remain attentive throughout the shift, with or without reasonable accommodation. Knowledge of security procedures, emergency response, and crowd management. Responsibilities Conduct consistent foot patrols throughout the assigned property to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access. Observe and document suspicious behavior based on conduct and objective facts. Identify security vulnerabilities, safety hazards, and potential sources of property loss, and promptly report concerns. Follow site procedures for access control and safeguarding client assets. Prepare clear, accurate reports documenting incidents, accidents, suspicious activity, and actions taken. Maintain professional relationships with client management and employees to support loss prevention efforts. Assist customers, visitors, and employees while maintaining a visible, professional security presence. Respond promptly and safely to incidents using de-escalation techniques and established procedures. Notify supervisors and contact police, fire, or medical services when appropriate. Follow company and client policies regarding suspected theft, evidence preservation, and incident escalation. Maintain accurate patrol logs and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs. Follow all assigned post orders, reporting requirements, and emergency response procedures.
