Leadership & Team Management Lead, coach, schedule, and develop the Loss Prevention team, ensuring consistent floor coverage, investigation support, and strong visibility across the store and campus. Oversee the greeter function, ensuring front-door coverage supports customer service, gun sales and trades procedures are compliant, receipt verification standards, shrink reduction, and a welcoming first impression. Establish clear expectations, training, and accountability measures for LP associates and greeters. Conduct performance management, hiring, onboarding, and ongoing development of LP team members. Build strong partnerships with store leaders to support department-specific shrink and safety initiatives. Develop succession plans and growth opportunities for high-performing LP associates. Asset Protection & Shrink Reduction Develop and execute strategies to reduce external theft, internal theft, fraud, operational shrink, and inventory loss. Analyze shrink trends, incident reporting, exception data, and inventory results to identify risk patterns and prevention opportunities. Lead high-value merchandise protection strategies, spot audits, cycle counts, and inventory control initiatives. Partner with Merchandising and Operations teams on fixture placement, product protection, signage, and floor awareness strategies. Review POS exceptions, returns, fitting room activity, and refund behavior for fraud indicators. Investigations & Compliance Lead investigations involving theft, fraud, policy violations, employee misconduct, workplace incidents, and safety concerns. Ensure proper documentation, evidence control, chain-of-custody standards, and incident reporting. Partner with HR on employee investigations, policy enforcement, and disciplinary support. Maintain relationships with local law enforcement and coordinate incident response when needed. Ensure compliance with company policy, legal requirements, and evidence handling standards. Safety & Facilities Partnership Partner closely with the Facilities team to contribute to overall campus safety , emergency preparedness, and building security. Support regular safety inspections of sales floor, warehouse, office, and back-of-house spaces. Help ensure compliance with emergency exits, fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, first-aid kits, alarm systems, and access control protocols. Participate in incident response planning, evacuation procedures, severe weather readiness, and emergency drills. Collaborate on accident prevention efforts, parking lot safety, exterior lighting reviews, and visitor/vendor access management. Contribute to workplace safety committee initiatives and loss prevention-related safety training. Security Systems & Access Control Oversee CCTV, alarm systems, access controls, employee entrance procedures, and key/radio distribution. Manage vendor relationships related to surveillance, alarm monitoring, repairs, and upgrades. Ensure proper maintenance and troubleshooting escalation of LP technology systems. Maintain secure records and logs related to keys, badges, restricted access, and evidence storage. Training & Culture Train leaders and associates on theft awareness, fraud prevention, emergency response, workplace violence awareness, and safety best practices. Reinforce a culture of accountability, awareness, and customer-first service. Promote respectful, professional engagement that balances safety, service, and risk reduction. Serve as a visible leader who builds trust across the organization. Qualifications 5+ years of progressive retail loss prevention, security, or investigative leadership experience required. Prior people leadership experience required. Experience leading shrink reduction programs, internal investigations, and compliance processes. Knowledge of CCTV, alarm systems, access control, POS exception reporting, and evidence handling. Strong analytical, investigative, and decision-making skills. Ability to partner cross-functionally with Retail, HR, Facilities, Warehouse, and Finance leadership. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Criminal justice, security, retail operations, or related background preferred. Wicklander-Zulawski, LPQ/LPC, or similar certifications are a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout a large retail campus. Ability to move quickly throughout the store, parking areas, and warehouse spaces. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak event periods.
