Loss Prevention Associate Schedule :

Full Time Location:

Islandia, NY WCD Warehouse is looking for a reliable, observant, and detail-oriented Loss Prevention Associate to help protect company inventory, assets, employees, and customers while maintaining a safe and secure warehouse environment. The Loss Prevention Associate will monitor warehouse activity, identify potential theft, loss, damage, and policy violations, and work closely with warehouse management to prevent and resolve loss-related issues. Key Responsibilities Monitor warehouse operations and employee activity to identify potential theft, loss, or security concerns. Conduct routine inspections of warehouse areas, entrances, exits, loading areas, and other designated locations. Monitor the movement of merchandise, equipment, and company property. Identify and report suspicious activity, inventory discrepancies, damaged merchandise, and policy violations. Assist with investigations involving theft, missing inventory, unauthorized access, and other loss incidents. Review security footage and other available information when investigating incidents. Conduct routine inventory and loss-prevention audits. Help ensure company policies and procedures are followed consistently. Document incidents accurately and maintain confidential records. Work with warehouse supervisors and management to investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions. Monitor employee and visitor access to restricted areas. Assist with enforcing warehouse security procedures. Help identify potential safety and security risks and communicate concerns to management. Maintain a professional and respectful approach when addressing employees, visitors, vendors, or other individuals. Assist management and emergency personnel during security or safety incidents when appropriate. Perform other loss-prevention and warehouse-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience in loss prevention, security, retail, warehouse operations, inventory control, or a related field preferred. Strong observation and attention-to-detail skills. Ability to identify unusual activity and recognize potential loss risks. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information. Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with difficult situations. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Basic computer skills and ability to review or document information electronically. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while working on the warehouse floor. Preferred Qualifications Previous loss prevention or security experience. Warehouse or distribution-center experience. Experience conducting inventory audits or investigations. Experience reviewing surveillance/security footage. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
