A Paralegal or Legal Assistant assists attorneys and law offices with a variety of tasks ranging from administrative support to legal research and writing. Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Description
The Director of the Moot Court Program will oversee thecoordination andexecution of the Alabama Law 2L Moot Court Competition and serve as the primaryadvisor to the Moot Court Board. Applicants must have a law degree from an ABA-accredited lawschool and a strong academic record. Applicants must demonstrate effectivelegal writing skills and should be admitted to and in good standing with astate bar. Preference may be given to applicants with significantteaching orpractice experience. Salary and benefits will be nationally competitive.
