Amar Law Group is a consumer protection law firm seeking a full-time administrative legal assistant to join its rapidly growing civil practice focused on Lemon Law and breach of warranty litigation and pre-litigation matters. The administrative legal assistant plays a vital role in supporting our legal teams by handling initial client intake phone calls and submissions, developing and organizing case information, helping organize and maintain documentary evidence, providing client updates via phone, email, and text support, maintaining in-office hard files, and general administrative support. Please note : No paralegal education or experience is required for this role. Applicants MUST be comfortable handling incoming and outgoing calls as a main part of their day-to-day duties and must be able to work collaboratively with other Administrative Legal Assistants to split the duties of the role each day . Being able to work with a team and communicate effectively with Administrative Legal Assistants, Legal Assistants, Paralegals, and Attorneys is vital to ensure smooth operations of the firm.
Administrative Legal Assistant Job Duties:
Answers incoming calls and returns potential client inquiries. Obtain initial vehicle and contact information for potential clients and assigns to the appropriate attorneys. Monitors the firm's docs emails and forwards email to appropriate attorneys and support staff. Also saves emails to appropriate files. Keeps cases organized by establishing and organizing files, documenting actions, inputting information into file database and case management software, and confirming case status with attorney. Provides additional support to legal teams to ensure client requests are completed as necessary Keeps clients informed via email, phone, or text by communicating case progress as instructed by attorneys. Supports case preparation by preparing intake summaries Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications. Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Administrative Legal Assistant Skills and Abilities:
Highly detail-oriented Experience handling incoming and outgoing calls at volume 1+ years of Customer Service Skills preferred, experience within a call center or receptionist type role a plus 1+ years of Legal Administration or Office Administration experience preferred Excellent Time Management and Organization Adept at technology and working with multiple software at a time Microsoft Office experience a plus Capable of multitasking and working with competing deadlines Able to maintain client confidentiality Capable of working in a highly collaborative team environment, working closely with peers on shared responsibilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Administrative Legal Assistant Qualifications:
Minimum high school diploma or GED and one (1-2) years of experience performing specialized clerical and customer service duties which include handling high volume of phone calls, data entry and retrieval, maintenance and organization of files, answering questions in person and by phone, and typing documents; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Receptionist or Call Center experience a plus!
Job Type:
Full-time. Applicant must be available to work at 5 days (M-F) and 40 hours a week. After 90 days there is eligibility for a raise, monthly bonuses, 401k. Health Insurance including medical, vision and dental eligibility after 2 months.
