The firm offers a stable workload, experienced attorneys, and a collaborative office environment where paralegals play a meaningful role in case management and trial support. This is a fully onsite opportunity for someone comfortable handling California litigation procedures, managing deadlines, and keeping cases moving in a busy legal setting. Why This Role $85,000-$90,000 salary based on experience Stable, full-time schedule Fully onsite position in Alameda Health, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) retirement plan PTO and court holidays Opportunity to work alongside experienced litigation attorneys Established firm with long-term client relationships and consistent case flow What You'll Do Manage litigation files from inception through trial and appeal Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, subpoenas, and correspondence Handle California state and federal e-filing, including CM/ECF Coordinate discovery, document production, and file management Track court deadlines, depositions, hearings, and trial calendars Prepare attorneys for mediations, hearings, arbitrations, and trials Organize exhibits, witness files, and trial binders Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and court staff Conduct legal and factual research as needed What You'll Need 3-5+ years of California litigation paralegal experience Insurance defense experience required Strong knowledge of California court procedures and filing requirements Experience with state and federal e-filing systems Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple active litigation matters at once Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software Paralegal certificate or bachelor's degree preferred If you have insurance defense litigation experience and want a long-term opportunity with a respected Alameda legal team, apply today. •This pay range represents Avata Partners' good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting.
