In this vital role, you will support the firm's immigration law practice by managing case files, preparing legal documents, and assisting with client communications. Your proactive approach and strong research skills will help ensure smooth case progression and excellent client service. Duties Assist attorneys with preparing and filing immigration petitions, applications, and related documentation in accordance with federal regulations. Conduct comprehensive legal research using LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other legal research tools to support case strategies. Manage case files using document management systems such as iManage, ensuring all records are accurate, organized, and up-to-date. Draft legal correspondence, affidavits, and supporting documents with precision and clarity. Interview clients to gather relevant information while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Review and analyze legal documents related to estate planning, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, civil litigation support, and other areas of practice. Coordinate with clients, courts, government agencies, and external partners to facilitate case progress and ensure deadlines are met. Support attorneys in procedural law compliance and litigation preparation for immigration cases. Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, proofreading documents, and maintaining organized case records to streamline workflow. Qualifications Proven paralegal experience with a strong background in immigration law; familiarity with estate planning, environmental law or other practice areas is a plus. Excellent research skills utilizing LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other legal research platforms. Proficiency in legal case management software including Clio and document management systems. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for client interviews and correspondence. Knowledge of procedural law requirements across various practice areas such as family law, landlord-tenant law, securities law, tribal regulations, patent law, personal injury cases, and civil litigation support. Experience handling confidential information with integrity while adhering to strict privacy standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Legal support tools (Westlaw), and legal research platforms (LexisNexis). Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment; project management skills are highly valued.
