Lancaster or West Los Angeles PARRIS Law Firm is seeking an experienced Environmental Paralegal to support our Mass Tort and Environmental litigation team. This role works closely with attorneys and junior litigation staff on complex environmental matters, including contamination, toxic tort, wildfires, regulatory compliance, and public entity litigation. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, deep familiarity with environmental regulatory frameworks, and experience managing large-scale document and discovery workflows.
Primary Duties:
Manage a high-volume caseload through all stages of litigation, including trial Provide direction, oversight, and support to junior litigation staff, ensuring quality and consistency of work Assist with discovery, including document production, privilege logs, and deposition preparation Coordinate with expert witnesses and manage expert file materials Review medical records and coordinate expert examinations Maintain case files, pleadings, exhibit lists, and litigation calendars Drive trial preparation including drafting trial pleadings, and in-person trial attendance as needed Communicate with clients, co-counsel, opposing counsel, and government agencies as directed by attorneys
Applicant Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience as an environmental or mass tort litigation paralegal Working knowledge of California environmental regulatory bodies and processes (Cal/OSHA, DTSC, SCAQMD, OEHHA, EPA, or similar) Experience drafting or processing
CPRA/FOIA
