Job Description

In this pivotal role, you will be at the heart of our firm's litigation and affirmative immigration practice. You will handle complex casework—from asylum defense to consular processing—while taking a leading role in team workflow management, filing compliance, and innovative technology integration. Case Management & Substantive Legal Drafting Deportation Defense & Court Filings:
Draft pre-hearing statements, country conditions submissions, expert witness lists, and specialized motions (including Motions to Withdraw and Motions to Reopen).
Relief Applications:
Evaluate Forms I-589 (Asylum), E-42B (Cancellation of Removal), among other filings, for strategic opportunities and deficiencies; assist in defining Particular Social Groups (PSGs) and assembling corroborating evidence.
Consular & Affirmative Processing:
Manage DS-260 consular filings.
Case Analysis & Strategy:
Review Electronic Records of Proceedings (eROPs) to diagnose complex case issues, identify defense strategies, and craft legal advisory memoranda. 2.
Operational Leadership & Workflow Oversight Team Coordination:
Serve as a operational anchor by managing daily task delegation, supporting staff, and maintaining workflow continuity.
Quality Control & Compliance:
Enforce rigorous standard operating procedures for court submissions, shipping tracking, cover letter formatting, and file organization. 3.
Client Relations & Engagement Client Communication:
Maintain warm, empathetic, and continuous contact with clients to gather crucial evidence, explain complex legal statuses, and review representation agreements. Tech Stack & System Expertise To excel in this role, you will utilize modern tools and official agency portals, including:

EOIR Courts & Automated Case Tracking System (ECAS),
EOIR Automated Phone System AI & Analytical Tools:
AI-assisted analysis tools for case diagnostics and legal research scaffolding
Productivity Suites:
Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar)
Preferred Qualifications & Key Skills Experience:
2+ years of substantive experience in immigration law (particularly EOIR removal defense and affirmative family/humanitarian filings).
Technical Savvy:
Comfort with modern legal tech, case management platforms, and AI-driven document analysis tools.
Analytical Rigor:
Exceptional legal research, critical thinking, and document review skills.
Organization & Leadership:
Proven track record of managing multi-step project workflows and assisting team members under tight deadlines.
