In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support for personal injury claims in prelitigation and litigation. Your energetic approach will help streamline case management, facilitate effective communication, and ensure the accuracy and organization of legal documents. THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY-LEVEL POSITION.
The ideal candidate must be well organized, detail-oriented, flexible, adaptable and work as part of a team under minimal supervision. Must have the ability to identify urgent tasks and prioritize time accordingly. Must be able to multi-task and adapt to changing situations, priorities and deadlines. Mandatory office hours 9 am - 5 pm Monday thorugh Friday Responsibilities Manage legal case files using our document management system (Filevine) and ensuring all records are current, organized, and easily accessible. Pre-litigation procedure (communicate with insurance companies and lien holders, request and review medical records, provide updates to clients, insurance companies and medical providers, prepare correspondence letters to clients, insurance companies and medical providers) Litigation procedure (knowledge in filing of complaint through jury trial); Have knowledge of court e-filing procedures; Preparation, service and filing of pleadings, discovery, Case Management Statements and related correspondence; Calendaring litigation and other deadlines (trials, mediations, depositions, pre-depositions, attorney-client meetings and phone conferences, court hearings); Follow-up on upcoming deadlines; Using a variety of software tools (e.g., Filevine, Adobe PDF Pro, MS Office, etc.); and Answering phones, taking messages and greeting clients. Qualifications MInimum 5 years of Personal Injury experience Strong knowledge of legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively in a busy law office environment. Excellent computer skills Demonstrated writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence with clarity and professionalism. Experience supporting litigation processes from document review to case management. Proficiency in data entry, proofreading, transcription services, and clerical tasks, including filing and document organization. Have the ability to set priorities and be capable of handling multiple interruptions while Strong communication skills with professional phone etiquette and the ability to interact confidently with clients and team members. Maintain confidentiality of our clients and their related documents; keep on task and working independently. Ability to effectively collaborate in a team environment.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
