Bilingual Immigration Legal Assistant Law Office of Frank Carvajal Santa Ana, CA Job Details Part-time $20 - $28 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications Spanish Customer communication Confidential information handling English Computer skills Full Job Description Part-Time Bilingual Immigration Legal Assistant Small immigration law office seeking a reliable, organized, and personable Bilingual Immigration Legal Assistant for a part-time, in-office position.
Schedule:
Approximately 20 hours per week
Compensation:
$20-$28 per hour, depending on experience
Location:
In-office position; not remote We are willing to train a motivated candidate with strong communication, organizational, and computer skills. Prior immigration law experience is not required. However, candidates with actual immigration law office experience are strongly encouraged to apply, and higher compensation will be offered based on the level of relevant experience and ability to work independently. Requirements Must be fluent in both English and Spanish Strong verbal and written communication skills Reliable, professional, organized, and detail-oriented Comfortable communicating with clients in both English and Spanish Good computer and general office skills Ability to handle confidential information professionally Willingness to learn immigration law procedures and office practices Responsibilities Duties will include: Answering telephone calls and communicating with clients Scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars Client intake and follow-up Organizing client files and supporting documentation Assisting with preparation of immigration forms and applications Assisting with USCIS and immigration court filings Tracking documents, appointments, and case deadlines General legal assistant and administrative duties Experienced Immigration Candidates Applicants with previous immigration law office experience should describe their experience in their application. Experience with any of the following is particularly valuable: USCIS forms and filings Family-based immigration and adjustment of status Employment authorization applications Asylum matters Immigration court/EOIR proceedings Waivers and other immigration applications Preparing filing packages and supporting documentation Client intake and case management An experienced candidate who can handle immigration case preparation and routine matters with limited supervision may qualify for compensation at the higher end of the advertised range.
