Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and possess a strong foundation in legal research, document management, and client communication. Duties Assist attorneys with case preparation by conducting legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools Draft, review, and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, affidavits, and correspondence with precision and clarity Manage case files using document management systems like OneDrive and PracticePanther to ensure accurate organization and easy retrieval of information Support estate planning activities by preparing wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related documents Family law and Probate case management Conduct interviews with clients to gather pertinent information for various legal matters including personal injury cases and workers' compensation claims Review documents for procedural compliance and assist in filing court documents accurately within deadlines Coordinate with clients, attorneys, courts, and external agencies through professional communication channels while maintaining confidentiality Support litigation processes through civil litigation support activities such as document review, discovery management, and trial preparation Maintain detailed records of case activities, court deadlines, and correspondence to ensure seamless case progression Utilize Microsoft Office Suite extensively for drafting reports, correspondence, and legal summaries while ensuring accuracy Requirements Proven paralegal experience with a strong understanding of procedural law across multiple practice areas including family law and probate Proficiency in legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis; experience with legal case management software like iManage or PCLaw is highly desirable Familiarity with legal administrative processes including filing procedures and document review protocols Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously under tight deadlines Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence that are clear, concise, and professional Exceptional client communication skills coupled with phone etiquette that fosters trust and clarity Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining high ethical standards Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) along with familiarity with document management systems such as iManage or Westlaw workflows Strong research skills combined with attention to detail in proofreading and data entry tasks A proactive attitude toward learning new legal procedures and staying updated on relevant laws Join us in a role where your expertise makes a meaningful impact!
