A Paralegal or Legal Assistant assists attorneys and law offices with a variety of tasks ranging from administrative support to legal research and writing. Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Description

Job Summary Geraghty, Bonnano & McCormick, LLC is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have estate planning and probate experience and will assist with all aspects of estate planning matters and probate administration. Experience with TurboCourt is required, and real estate closing experience is a plus. The successful candidate must demonstrate a positive, professional attitude when working with colleagues, attorneys, and clients; be a self-starter; and possess excellent communication and organizational skills. Candidates must be a notary public or be willing to become one. This is a full-time position of 37.5 hours per week. We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience and a 401(k) plan. An associate degree or certificate in paralegal studies is preferred.
