The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to multitask, as well as a professional, pleasant, and friendly demeanor (client-interaction is necessary). This position requires the ability to work independently and quickly master expected responsibilities. A quick-thinker, eager to learn, and take ownership of their responsibilities will thrive in this role. Responsibilities Support 1-2 attorneys in optimizing their time and managing probate caseload Communicate with clients in person, over the phone, and electronically Coordinate scheduling of appointments and client meetings Draft, proofread, and send pleadings, correspondence and other appropriate documents Oversee physical and electronic document management Gather case-related information and documentation from clients E-file court documents and electronic records Track deadlines to ensure documents are timely filed Prepare form-based legal documents Participate in local, out-of-office marketing events with other firm personnel Provide back-up as necessary to other administrative employees Experience Bachelor's degree or paralegal certification is required. Familiarity and experience with Florida probate and trust administration practice and procedure is required. At least 2-4 years paralegal experience in a law office setting is required. Familiarity with non-probate practice areas, such as estate planning, Medicaid planning, and residential real estate closings is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of drafting clear legal documents and client correspondence. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Adobe Acrobat, and legal case management software (e.g., Clio).
