Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Description

Innovative Driven is seeking a Paralegal to join the team at a fast-paced civil litigation defense firm client in Florida!
Responsibilities:
Summarize records and court files Schedule couriers, court reporters, expert witnesses, and other special functions Conduct research on statutes, judicial decisions, legal articles, and public records Draft, prepare, and perform reviews of briefs, pleadings, discovery materials, appeals, and contracts Assist in trial preparation and discovery practices Serve as a liaison between counsel, clients, experts, witnesses, and other third parties Maintain attorney's calendar by planning and scheduling conferences, teleconferences, and depositions
Requirements:
Experience as a paralegal for a law firm of legal services organization Minimum 1 year of prior experience with General Liability or Government Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Proven administrative experience and organizational skills Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
