Job Description

Legal Assistant Miami Lakes, FL 33014 We are seeking a dedicated, organized, and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our legal team. Prior legal experience is preferred but not required. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, interested in the legal field, and able to provide reliable administrative and case support to our attorneys and clients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to gain hands-on experience in a professional law office and develop a long-term career in the legal field. Responsibilities Assist attorneys with the preparation, review, and organization of legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, motions, correspondence, and court filings. Review documents for accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files. Assist with e-Filing and CourtMap and other legal software; training will be provided. Perform administrative and clerical duties, including filing, data entry, scanning, copying, and maintaining organized records. Draft professional correspondence, legal documents, and client communications as requested. Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, courts, opposing counsel, and other parties. Coordinate attorney calendars, meetings, appointments, hearings, and other deadlines. Assist with case preparation and follow-up to ensure deadlines and required documents are completed timely. Handle multiple assignments while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Perform other legal and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or similar position is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple matters simultaneously. Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) . Ability and willingness to learn legal software and electronic filing systems. Professional, dependable, and team-oriented. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately. Knowledge or experience in Foreclosure and Probate Law is a plus, but not required. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred. What We Offer Hands-on experience in multiple areas of law.
