Job Description

Description Our client, a respected law firm, is seeking an experienced Probate Paralegal to support attorneys with a mix of contested and uncontested probate matters. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can manage case files from inception through resolution, maintain strong communication with clients and courts, and provide critical support in both routine estate administrations and probate disputes.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Assist attorneys with all phases of uncontested probate and estate administration matters, including preparation and filing of petitions, notices, inventories, accountings, and related court documents. + Support contested probate litigation, including document management, discovery coordination, hearing and trial preparation, and communication with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel. + Draft correspondence, pleadings, probate forms, and other legal documents for attorney review. + Monitor court deadlines, hearing dates, filing requirements, and case status updates. + Maintain and organize probate files, exhibits, and supporting documentation. + Coordinate with courts, financial institutions, fiduciaries, beneficiaries, and other interested parties throughout the probate process. + Assist with asset identification, valuation documentation, and preparation of estate inventories and accountings. + Conduct legal and factual research related to probate procedures and disputes. + Provide administrative and case management support to ensure matters progress efficiently.
Requirements Qualifications:
+ Previous experience as a Probate Paralegal with exposure to both contested and uncontested probate matters. + Strong knowledge of probate court procedures, filings, and deadlines. + Experience supporting litigation matters, including discovery and trial preparation, is highly preferred. + Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment. + Proficiency with legal case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
