A Paralegal or Legal Assistant assists attorneys and law offices with a variety of tasks ranging from administrative support to legal research and writing. Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

We're looking for a Senior Paralegal who can carry a personal injury caseload with minimal oversight and bring real legal judgment to the table — someone attorneys can hand research and drafting to and trust the work back. We need someone who works independently, takes pride in their work, and brings a positive outlook to the day-to-day. Things move fast here, and they change often — flexibility isn't a nice-to-have, it's how we operate. What You'll Own Case Development Build and manage case files from intake through resolution Track key deadlines, milestones, and next steps across an active caseload Records Tracking Request, track, and organize medical, billing, and other case-relevant records Follow up on outstanding records requests to keep matters moving Service Monitoring Monitor and confirm service of process on all relevant parties Track and resolve service issues before they delay a matter Bill Negotiation Negotiate medical bills and liens on behalf of clients Prepare bill summaries and disbursement documentation Litigation Support Prepare pleadings, discovery responses, and trial exhibits Support attorneys with case preparation ahead of hearings, depositions, and trial Legal Research & Drafting Conduct legal research on case issues, precedent, and procedural questions Draft memos and judicial opinions for attorney review Analyze case law and summarize findings to support case strategy When Filling In for the Records Coordinator We don't always have a dedicated Records Coordinator on staff. When that seat is open, Paralegals share the following responsibilities: Making claims Sending out Letters of Representation (LORs) Coordinating client referrals to treatment Ordering open records and police reports What We're Looking For 4+ years of experience as a Paralegal, with demonstrated experience in legal research, memo drafting, and case law analysis Strong legal writing and analytical skills — able to turn research into a clear, usable work product Works independently, takes pride in accurate and thorough work Comfortable wearing multiple hats; this is a small-firm environment where roles overlap and priorities shift
