Job Description

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented, team player Legal Assistant or Paralegal to join our legal team. This position is in a long standing local law firm that does a wide range of legal practices, including estate planning, probate, real estate, corporate and more. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and works well with a team. You will play a vital role in managing case files, drafting documents, and providing administrative assistance to attorney and clients alike. Duties Assist attorney with case preparation across various practice areas by organizing case files, preparing documents, and communicating with clients Draft, review, and proofread legal documents including contracts, pleadings, estate planning documents, and correspondence with meticulous attention to detail Support client communication through professional phone etiquette, scheduling interviews or meetings, and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information Review documents for procedural compliance and assist in filing court documents accurately within deadlines Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, proofreading, and maintaining organized digital and physical files Experience Paralegal experience or equivalent legal administrative experience in a fast-paced law office environment is preferred but not required Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy setting Good writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; proofreading accuracy is essential Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)

From $22.50 per hour
