Job Description

Top AV Rated Law Firm is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant.
Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform all secretarial tasks required in assisting assigned partners and associate attorneys in preparation of their cases. To transcribe dictation as assigned, including pleadings, correspondence, notices, and summaries. To schedule hearings, depositions, and client meetings. To prepare subpoenas for issuance. To monitor, collect, and enter billable time into Omega system To electronically file pleadings. To organize and maintain case files and file documents as required. To organize and copy documents. To manage case-related travel arrangements upon request.
Work experience requirements:
Minimum of 5 years previous experience in law office. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat. Experience with dictation equipment and software. Experience with litigation defense, medical malpractice defense, or federal court system.
Education requirements:
Associates or equivalent experience
