Job Description
Established Carmel law firm has an immediate need for a full-time experienced Litigation Paralegal, preferably with a strong background in insurance defense, to support our attorneys in all phases of civil litigation. attorneys throughout the entire litigation process, from case filing through trial and appeal. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys in the preparation and handling of insurance defense cases from inception through trial Draft, review, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses Review and summarize discovery documents including medical records Manage case files, maintain litigation calendars, and track deadlines Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial logistics Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel Conduct legal and factual research, including reviewing medical records and summarizing findings Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and other materials for court proceedings Ensure compliance with court rules and filing procedures (state and federal)Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of litigation paralegal experience Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and court rules Experience with e-filing systems in state and federal courts Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a teamJob Type:
