Full-Time Start a Career in the Rail Industry Looking for a hands-on job where you can learn the rail industry and build a long-term career? Road & Rail Services is hiring dependable, safety-focused individuals to join our Princeton, Indiana operation as Railcar Preppers . This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys physical work, working outdoors, and being part of a team. Previous railroad experience is not required. We are looking for people who show up ready to work, follow safety procedures, pay attention to detail, and are willing to learn. As a Railcar Prepper, you will help inspect, clean, and prepare railcars before they are used to transport vehicles. Your work plays an important role in protecting customer vehicles and keeping rail operations moving safely and efficiently. What You'll Do Your day-to-day responsibilities may include: Inspect railcars for visible damage, wear, fatigue, or other concerns Assist with safely opening and closing railcar end doors Identify repair needs that fall within Road & Rail Services' approved scope of work Remove dirt, debris, and other contaminants from railcars using backpack blowers, scrapers, and other equipment Prepare railcars to help prevent damage to vehicles during loading and transportation Properly use, inspect, and maintain assigned tools and equipment Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards Follow all company, customer, and industry safety requirements Complete additional railcar preparation or housekeeping duties as assigned What We're Looking For Successful candidates should have: Valid state-issued driver's license Strong commitment to workplace safety Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Willingness to learn new skills and follow established procedures Positive, team-oriented attitude Ability to perform hands-on work in an outdoor rail environment This is an outdoor position. Candidates should be prepared to work around rail equipment and perform job duties in changing weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and other seasonal conditions.
