Full-time Paralegal / Legal Assistant needed in Topeka, KS! The Paralegal / Legal Assistant will be supporting attorneys with legal documents, case management, research, and client communication. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities. Previous paralegal experience is preferred, but candidates without experience may be considered for training. $16

•25/hr, depending on experience.

Legal Assistant Job Responsibilities:

Prepare, proofread, and finalize legal documents, pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, and correspondence

Conduct factual and legal research using online resources

Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files and discovery materials

Communicate with clients, attorneys, witnesses, and court personnel

Track case deadlines and assist with timely court and agency filings

Assist with preparation for hearings, trials, depositions, and mediations

Prepare case summaries, reports, chronologies, exhibits, and other materials

Provide general administrative and legal support to attorneys as needed

Qualifications:

Paralegal /

Legal Assistant Job Qualifications:

Paralegal certificate, associate degree, or equivalent experience preferred; bachelor's degree a plus

Approximately 2 years of paralegal or legal support experience preferred, but candidates without prior paralegal experience may be considered for training

Familiarity with legal case management software and Microsoft Office

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Familiarity with court filing procedures and electronic filing systems preferred
