A Paralegal or Legal Assistant assists attorneys and law offices with a variety of tasks ranging from administrative support to legal research and writing. Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Description
Responsibilities & Preferred Skills:
- At least one year experience as a paralegal - Worker's Compensation experience a plus
- Prepare medical summaries/chronologies
- Assist attorneys preparing for trial
- Utilize existing files and other research resources to develop information for pending cases
- Maintain case file indexing system active archive for all ongoing and completed cases
- Create documents & reports for attorneys based on case specifications and attorney requests
- Work with attorneys to develop legal arguments, motions and other case filings
- Sense of discretion working with personal client information
- Effectively prioritize and meet deadlines
- Strong research and report-generating skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Courteous & professional written and oral communication skills
- Competence with Microsoft Office
- Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies or equivalent a plus
