The Paralegal will work directly with our attorneys in the Workers Compensation Department to prepare for upcoming cases, prepare and respond to discovery, get involved in research and fact-finding projects and be responsible for maintaining and tracking all assigned case files. Our caseload is growing and the ideal candidate for this position is organized, professional, responsible, and committed to helping us meet all of our clients' needs.
Responsibilities & Preferred Skills:
  • At least one year experience as a paralegal - Worker's Compensation experience a plus
  • Prepare medical summaries/chronologies
  • Assist attorneys preparing for trial
  • Utilize existing files and other research resources to develop information for pending cases
  • Maintain case file indexing system active archive for all ongoing and completed cases
  • Create documents & reports for attorneys based on case specifications and attorney requests
  • Work with attorneys to develop legal arguments, motions and other case filings
  • Sense of discretion working with personal client information
  • Effectively prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Strong research and report-generating skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Courteous & professional written and oral communication skills
  • Competence with Microsoft Office
  • Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies or equivalent a plus
  • Industry recognized certifications a plus Firm offers a package of benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k and paid time off.
Salary is commensurate with applicable experience. This position participates in an individual performance bonus incentive program.
