Job Description
This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned paralegal with a strong background in criminal law litigation and trial support to play an integral role in establishing and supporting the firm's Lafayette office.
ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive paralegal support throughout all stages of criminal litigationAssist attorneys with case preparation, discovery, pleadings, motions, and trial preparationOrganize and maintain case files and documentationConduct legal research and assist with preparing legal documentsCoordinate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other partiesAssist attorneys during trial and with other courtroom-related mattersManage deadlines, calendars, and case-related tasksProvide additional administrative and litigation support as neededQualifications3+ years of paralegal experienceStrong experience in criminal law litigationPrior trial experience is requiredStrong knowledge of criminal litigation procedures and court processesExcellent organizational and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and ability to work independentlyCompensation & Benefits$50,000-$70,000 annual salary, depending on experienceTwice-yearly bonuses based on firm performance401(k) with 3% employer matchHealth, dental, and vision insuranceEmployer-provided life insuranceConfidential mental health services paid for by the firmPaid vacationPaid holidaysPaid sick leave
