Job Summary A busy and growing legal office in Shreveport, LA is seeking a dependable Legal Administrative Assistant for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for an organized administrative professional with legal office experience or a paralegal certificate who enjoys supporting attorneys, managing case information, tracking deadlines, and keeping documentation accurate and current. The Legal Administrative Assistant will work in a fast-paced, professional office environment where reliability, confidentiality, accuracy, and teamwork are highly valued. This Monday-Friday position offers stability, supportive leadership, and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful legal work while building long-term career experience in the legal services field. Candidates who take pride in follow-through, attention to detail, and helping cases move efficiently will be well positioned for success. Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and maintain physical and electronic client files, case documents, records, and supporting materials.
  • Request, track, and follow up on medical records, documentation, and missing case information.
  • Schedule and calendar court dates, appointments, deadlines, and other time-sensitive items.
  • Prepare correspondence and legal-related documents using Microsoft Word.
  • Enter, update, and manage case information in databases, spreadsheets, and office systems.
  • Provide administrative support to attorneys and office staff while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy. Compensation and Benefits
  • $15.00 to $18.00 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Temp-to-hire opportunity.
  • Monday-Friday schedule.
