PM Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Paralegal to support a busy legal practice focused primarily on defense litigation matters. This role involves preparing legal documents, maintaining case files, coordinating schedules, and assisting attorneys with case management and trial preparation. Litigation experience is preferred, but candidates without prior litigation experience will be considered and trained for the role. The ideal candidate will be professional, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and organize legal documents, correspondence, and case files. Assist attorneys with case preparation, discovery, and trial support. Maintain and update electronic and physical case records. Draft routine legal documents and correspondence. Coordinate hearings, meetings, depositions, and deadlines. Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and outside counsel. Perform legal research and gather case-related information as needed. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive legal information. Support attorneys with additional administrative and legal tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Previous paralegal experience is required. Litigation experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document management systems preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Professional demeanor and dependable attendance required.
