Job Description

Paralegal

We are looking for a Paralegal to join a legal team in Towson, Maryland in their Wealth department. This opportunity is well suited for someone who wants to build experience in trusts and estates while supporting attorneys with document preparation, file organization, and client-related legal work. The role offers direct mentorship, a collaborative office environment, and the chance to grow into a long-term position with the firm.

Responsibilities:
  • Support attorneys with matters related to trusts, estates, and wealth preservation by preparing files, organizing case materials, and tracking deadlines.
  • Draft, revise, and format legal documents, correspondence, memoranda, and pleadings with close attention to accuracy and clear presentation.
  • Maintain case and matter records in case management systems to ensure documents, notes, and deadlines remain current and accessible.
  • Assist with discovery activities, trial preparation tasks, and litigation support when matters require broader legal coordination.
  • Communicate with attorneys, clients, and internal team members to gather information, schedule follow-ups, and keep work moving efficiently.
  • Review incoming materials for completeness and help assemble binders, exhibits, and supporting documentation for legal proceedings and client matters.
  • Conduct legal and factual research to support attorney requests and contribute to the preparation of matter-related documentation.
  • Adapt to evolving practice needs and provide administrative and paralegal support across related legal areas as priorities shift.
  • Associate degree or formal education in paralegal studies.
  • Prior experience in a paralegal role within a law firm or legal department.
  • Working knowledge of trusts and estates, wealth management, or wealth preservation matters.
  • Familiarity with civil litigation processes, including discovery and trial preparation.
  • Experience preparing legal correspondence, memoranda, pleadings, and other formal legal documentation.
  • Proficiency with case management software and general legal file organization.
  • Strong legal writing, proofreading, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
