They seek to hire a Legal Assistant for its downtown Flint location. This position would assist the attorneys and social work staff of Mead & Stout PLLC in managing the existing caseload of fiduciary clients.
For example:
Interacting with the clients and representatives of the clients to assist them and the office in the management of their individual cases. Completion, docketing, and management of applications for public benefits at the direction and review of the attorneys. Review and payment of the ongoing expenses to manage the fiduciary clients in their individual situations. Assisting the social work staff in routine tasks FBO the fiduciary clients such as scheduling of appointments, arranging transportation, and other tasks as necessary. File management, organization, and maintenance of the clients records. Assist the attorneys and other support staff in any job tasks necessary to achieve the goals of the office. The position may be full time or part-time depending on the circumstances of the successful candidate. A candidate who has prior experience working with public benefits such as Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, or the Veteran's Administration will be given the best consideration but a legal assistant who has prior experience by other training or work experience will be also be considered and there is an opportunity for mentorship and on the job-training for such a potential candidate. Computer proficiency is necessary. Salary and benefits will be negotiated based on the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.
