Job Description

Overview Seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Legal Assistant/Paralegal to my team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support across a broad spectrum of legal practice areas, ensuring smooth case management and efficient legal operations. Your proactive approach and strong organizational skills will help facilitate legal research, document preparation, client communication, and case coordination. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your expertise will directly contribute to the success of our legal services. Duties Assist attorney with case management, including filing, document review, and organization. Conduct legal research across multiple practice areas including estate planning, bankruptcy and GIS systems. Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, contracts, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail. Support litigation processes through document review, drafting summaries, and maintaining case files in compliance with procedural laws. Communicate effectively with clients regarding case updates and gather relevant information through interviewing techniques. Manage calendars for court deadlines and appointments while coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely filings. Handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism while maintaining meticulous records of all case-related activities. Requirements Proven paralegal or legal support experience in diverse practice areas including estate planning, bankruptcy, traffic tickets and/or related fields. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Word processing, and document management systems. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple cases simultaneously. Effective communication skills for client interaction and collaboration within the legal team. Knowledge of procedural law requirements for filing documents accurately within court deadlines. Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and maintain confidentiality at all times. Strong proofreading and legal writing skills to produce clear and precise documentation.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
