Job Description

About the Role Safir Injury Lawyers is seeking a Pre-Litigation Paralegal to manage personal injury cases from intake through demand and pre-litigation resolution. This role requires a strong understanding of Michigan No-Fault (PIP) claims and bodily injury (BI) cases , along with the ability to move files efficiently, communicate with clients, and develop cases for maximum value . If you are organized, proactive, and know how to keep cases progressing , this is the role. What You'll Do Manage a personal injury caseload from intake through demand Communicate regularly with clients regarding treatment and case status Send letters of representation and open claims with insurance carriers File and track Applications for No-Fault Benefits Determine and confirm priority of coverage Order and review medical records and bills Track treatment progress and identify gaps in care Monitor PIP benefits, payments, and outstanding balances Follow up with adjusters on liability, coverage, and payments Gather supporting documentation (police reports, witness statements, etc.) Prepare and assemble demand packages Submit demands and track settlement negotiations Maintain accurate case notes and documentation Coordinate liens and outstanding balances Identify cases that require escalation or litigation Qualifications 2-5+ years of personal injury pre-litigation experience (plaintiff side preferred) Experience handling Michigan No-Fault / PIP claims required Experience managing cases from intake through demand Strong understanding of insurance claims and adjuster communication High School Diploma required (Paralegal Certificate or degree preferred) Technical Skills Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) Case Management Software (LEAP, Smokeball, Clio, etc.) E-signature platforms Medical records and billing systems
