Job Description

The Insurance Defense Case Manager supports attorneys handling insurance defense matters by coordinating case activities, managing documentation, tracking deadlines, and serving as a key liaison among clients, carriers, experts, and legal staff. This role helps ensure cases move efficiently through all phases of litigation.

Key ResponsibilitiesManage a high-volume caseload of insurance defense matters from intake through resolutionMaintain case files, pleadings, correspondence, discovery, medical records, and other litigation documentsTrack and calendar deadlines for court filings, discovery responses, hearings, depositions, and trial preparationCommunicate with attorneys, insurance adjusters, clients, opposing counsel, medical providers, and expert witnessesReview, organize, and summarize medical records, claim files, and investigation materialsCoordinate depositions, independent medical examinations, mediations, and court appearancesMonitor case progress and provide regular status updates to attorneys and insurance carriersEnsure accurate entry of case information into case management and document management systemsMaintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with firm procedures and legal requirements
