Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Receptionist/Paralegal to join our legal team. This vital role combines front-office administrative support with comprehensive legal assistance, ensuring smooth daily operations and high-quality legal support for our attorneys and clients. The ideal candidate will be energetic, highly organized, and possess a strong understanding of various legal areas, including estate planning, environmental law, litigation support, and more. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your legal career while contributing to a professional and collaborative environment. We are willing to train individuals to meet the needs of the firm. Our office is open for 8 hours Monday through Friday, but 1 of those hours is used as a lunch break. Our office is closed for practically all banking holidays. Responsibilities Greet visitors, clients, and vendors professionally, maintaining excellent phone etiquette and organizational skills Manage incoming calls, direct inquiries efficiently, and handle confidential information with discretion Assist attorneys with legal research, document review, drafting legal correspondence, and preparing case files using document management systems such as Clio Grow and Clio Manage Support project management tasks related to ongoing cases in areas like civil litigation, family law, estate planning, or criminal law Maintain accurate filing systems for legal documents and ensure timely submission of court filings in compliance with procedural law requirements Provide executive administrative support by scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating meetings Skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and legal drafting Proficient computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Word Ability to use or willingness to learn to use document management systems such as Clio Ability to handle confidential information responsibly with high attention to detail Organizational skills that enable multitasking across administrative duties and legal support functions Experience with legal administrative tasks including proofreading, transcription, filing, document review, and contract management preferred Join our team to be part of an environment where your organizational talents and legal knowledge will make a meaningful impact.
