In this role, you will provide essential legal support across a variety of practice areas, including criminal defense, civil litigation, family law and more. Responsibilities Assist attorneys with case preparation by conducting legal research. Draft, review, and proofread legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, etc.. Manage and organize case files using Smokeball; ensure all files are up-to-date and easily accessible. Support litigation processes by reviewing documents for relevance and accuracy, preparing exhibits, and maintaining case calendars. Conduct client interviews and gather pertinent information to support various practice areas as listed above. Handle confidential information with integrity while maintaining strict adherence to privacy standards. Provide administrative support such as scheduling appointments, managing deadlines, filing documents with courts or agencies, and coordinating communication between clients and attorneys. Skills Proven experience as a paralegal or legal support professional in diverse practice areas. Strong knowledge of procedural law and familiarity with legal case management software. Excellent research skills and the ability to synthesize complex information clearly. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for drafting documents and managing data entry tasks. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills for client interaction, interviewing witnesses or clients, and collaborating with team members. Attention to detail in proofreading legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with procedural standards.
