Job Description

LEGAL ASSISTANT - FULL-TIME

We are seeking a full-time Legal Assistant who is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of managing a complex and busy workload in a team-oriented environment. The position requires strong organizational skills, independent judgment, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines. Competitive pay based on experience, with an excellent benefits package.

•JOB DUTIES Perform complex legal support duties with oversight by an attorney, including organizing and maintaining files, managing calendars and deadlines, preparing and proofreading legal documents, and coordinating with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other professionals. For the right candidate, based on experience and interest, we are open to focusing the position primarily on transactional work or litigation .

Transactional work may include:

Drafting, revising, and filing corporate documents and contracts; Assisting with estate planning and probate matters; Preparing real estate and other legal documents; and Managing related filings, deadlines, and client communications.

Litigation work may include:

Preparing, formatting, proofreading, and filing pleadings and briefs; Preparing discovery responses, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admissions; Organizing files, trial exhibits, and trial notebooks; Coordinating subpoenas, records, and depositions; and Assisting with general case preparation.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent required; At least 3 years of Microsoft Office experience required; At least 1 year of legal experience preferred; Excellent organizational and communication skills; Strong attention to detail; and Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team.
