Job Description

A busy, full-service law firm in Fair Lawn, NJ is seeking an experienced Paralegal / Legal Assistant to support its Trusts & Estates and Elder Law practice. The firm handles estate planning, estate and trust administration, real estate, and small business matters.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organized, dependable professional who enjoys working directly with attorneys and clients in a close-knit, supportive environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesAssist attorneys with estate planning and elder law matters, including wills, trusts, living wills, and powers of attorney.

Prepare, organize, and review legal documents and correspondence.

Assist with estate and trust administration matters.

Conduct client interviews and gather information needed for legal documents.

Maintain organized client files and case records.

Review and analyze documents for accuracy and completeness.

Coordinate projects and deadlines assigned by attorneys.

Communicate professionally with clients and other parties.

Perform data entry and general administrative duties as needed.

Manage multiple matters in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications5+ years of paralegal/legal assistant experience required.

Strong experience with New Jersey estate planning matters preferred.

Knowledge of trusts, estates, elder law, and legal procedures.

Strong legal drafting and document preparation skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.

Ability to work independently, proactively, and manage multiple priorities.

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Ability to handle confidential client information with discretion.
