$34 -$44 per hour (35 hour workweek) We are seeking an experienced Foreclosure Litigation Paralegal with a strong background in contested foreclosure matters to join our growing legal team. This role is ideal for a candidate with hands-on experience in drafting original foreclosure complaints, litigation support, and title review, who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Key Responsibilities Manage foreclosure matters from referral through final resolution, including both uncontested and contested cases Draft, review, and file original foreclosure complaints, motions, and pleadings Handle contested foreclosure litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation Prepare and process foreclosure pleadings, including affidavits, certifications, and summary judgment packages Conduct comprehensive title review and analysis, including liens, ownership, and chain of title Order and review title reports; identify and address title defects or issues Obtain payoff statements and prepare assignments of mortgage/deed-related documents Coordinate filings, service of process, and document retrieval through First Legal and similar vendors E-file pleadings in compliance with court rules and jurisdictional requirements Monitor and manage court deadlines, hearings, and case milestones to ensure timely filings Draft legal correspondence and communicate with clients, courts, attorneys, and opposing counsel regarding case status Maintain accurate and organized case files, litigation calendars, and tracking systems Minimum 3 years of experience as a paralegal in foreclosure and creditors' rights Experience managing foreclosure files independently Knowledge of court procedures and e-filing systems Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Strong administrative skills, including accurate typing, proofreading, spelling, and grammar Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines Qualifications 3+ years of experience as a Foreclosure Paralegal or Foreclosure Litigation Paralegal Experience handling contested foreclosure matters Proven ability to draft original complaints (not template-based) Strong experience with title review (liens, ownership, encumbrances) Litigation experience, including discovery and motion practice Knowledge of NJ foreclosure processes Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with strict deadlines Experience with LPS and Tempo Experience in a law firm environment handling high-volume matters Benefits Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid time off, life insurance, flexible spending account, and other employee benefits.
