Job Description

Overview AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. a fast-growing multinational property and casualty insurance company has an immediate need for a Paralegal in their New Jersey Workers' Compensation Staff Counsel team in Princeston New Jersy Responsibilities Review and analysis of files before scheduled hearings, including written pre-hearing reports for multiple attorneys;
  • Pulling, organizing and bookmarking medical records on a regular basis;
  • Scheduling examinations with vendors and facilities;
  • Working with vendors to request and obtain records via subpoena/medical authorization; following up and organizing/summarizing upon receipt;
  • Composing routine correspondence, taking calls from attorneys, claims professionals, opposing counsel, and courts;
  • Experience working in an all-inclusive document management platform is required This is a deadline-driven work environment.
The ability to stay organized, self-motivate, work independently and on a collaborative team is vital. Excellent time management a must Qualifications The ideal applicant would have 3+ years of litigation experience. 2 + years of Workers compensation defense exposure An associate or bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate is a plus. Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing deadlines. The position requires reading and comprehending complex instructions from attorneys and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) The expected salary range for this role is $26/hr-$36/hr Please note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only.
